Daily Geography Game
Sports Map Daily is a free daily geography game about sports. Every day, five new questions. Each one has a real location as its answer — a cricket ground, a football stadium, a tennis court, a badminton arena or a WWE event venue. Pin the location on an interactive 3D globe and score by how close you are.
No sign-in. No download. Completely free. A new round goes live every day at midnight UTC.
How does the daily geography game work?
Like Wordle refreshed your vocabulary every morning, Sports Map Daily refreshes your geography knowledge every day. The format is simple:
- Choose a sport edition (Cricket, Football, Tennis, Badminton or WWE).
- Read the first of five questions — a clue about a real sports venue or location.
- Tap on the 3D globe where you think the answer is.
- See your score (0–100 based on distance), then move to the next question.
- Finish all five questions to get your total score out of 1,000.
Share your result — an emoji grid that shows how close you were on each question — on WhatsApp, X (Twitter) or anywhere else.
Five daily geography game editions
Unlike most daily geography games that offer one challenge per day, Sports Map Daily has five editions running in parallel. Play one, some or all of them:
- Cricket — Test grounds, IPL stadiums and the birthplaces of legendary cricketers.
- Football — Premier League grounds, World Cup venues and Champions League arenas.
- Tennis — Grand slams, ATP Masters and WTA events worldwide.
- Badminton — BWF Championship arenas and Olympic venues.
- WWE — WrestleMania locations, Royal Rumble arenas and iconic PPV venues.
How is this different from other daily geography games?
There are great daily geography games out there. Here is how Sports Map Daily compares:
- vs Worldle — Worldle shows you a country outline and you guess which country it is. Sports Map Daily gives you sports trivia clues and you pin the real venue on a 3D globe — more creative freedom, less pattern recognition.
- vs Globle — Globle is a hot-or-cold country guessing game. Sports Map Daily gives you context clues and lets you pin anywhere on the globe, scored by exact distance — not just "warmer/colder".
- vs MapTap — MapTap finds world locations with historical context. Sports Map Daily focuses on sports venues with trivia context, and has five separate editions so sports fans get content that is genuinely relevant to them.
- vs GeoGuessr — GeoGuessr drops you into Street View to figure out where you are. Sports Map Daily gives you sports knowledge questions and asks you to place the pin yourself. GeoGuessr requires a paid subscription for full play; Sports Map Daily is always free.
- vs WhichWay, travle, Warmer — These are all excellent geography games with different mechanics (compass directions, country routes, temperature hints). Sports Map Daily is the only one in this space focused on sports venues, making it a natural complement for sports fans.
