Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Sports Map Daily — the free daily sports geography game.
What is Sports Map Daily?
Sports Map Daily is a free daily sports geography game. Every day you get five trivia questions about real sports venues — cricket grounds, football stadiums, tennis courts, badminton arenas or WWE event venues. You pin your answer on an interactive 3D globe and score by how close you are to the real location.
It works like a sports-focused version of daily geography games like Worldle or Globle, mixed with the real-world location-guessing of GeoGuessr — but completely free and updated with new questions every single day.
How do I play?
Go to the home page, choose a sport edition, read the question, and tap on the globe where you think the answer is. That is it — there is no submit button; your tap is your guess. Score up to 100 points per question. A perfect round scores 1,000 points.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free. No sign-in, no download, no payment required. We show a small number of ads to keep the game running.
What sport editions are available?
- Cricket — Grounds, birthplaces and famous moments.
- Football — Stadiums and iconic matches.
- Tennis — Courts, grand slams and career-defining wins.
- Badminton — Championship arenas and legendary players.
- WWE — Event venues and iconic matches.
Each edition has its own daily round, streak counter and leaderboard.
When does the new round start?
Every day at 00:00 UTC — midnight UTC, 1 am UK (summer), 5 am Pakistan, 5:30 am India. The same five questions go live for everyone at the same time, so scores are directly comparable.
How is scoring calculated?
Each question scores 0–100 based on how close your pin is. The five questions are weighted 1×, 1.5×, 2×, 2.5× and 3× — later questions are worth more. Perfect round = 1,000 points. Tapping inside a country or region always scores the full 100 for that question.
Do I need to sign in?
No — you can play and share results as a guest. Signing in (Google or email link) unlocks the daily leaderboard and keeps your streak synced across devices.
What is a streak?
How many days in a row you have completed a round for one edition. Play every day to keep it going. Missing a day resets it to zero.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. Sports Map Daily works on any modern smartphone or tablet browser. No app is needed.
Is this like GeoGuessr or Wordle?
Sports Map Daily borrows the daily-game format from Wordle (one fresh challenge per day, same for everyone, shareable scores) and the location-guessing mechanic from GeoGuessr — but focuses entirely on sports venues and is always free. Think of it as a daily Wordle for sports geography fans, played on a real 3D globe.
Can I share my result?
Yes. After completing a round you get a shareable score card with an emoji grid. The link shows your score as a preview on WhatsApp and social media.
What is confirm mode?
An optional mode that lets you drag and adjust a pin before locking in your answer. Enable it with the "Confirm location" toggle on the game screen.
